Boys Do Cry

Men react twice as strongly to "heart-warming" content than women, new research shows. In the Father's Day study conducted by Mindlab, males display stronger reactions to blissful, exciting and heartwarming content when compared to women. The volunteers consisted of 15 fathers and 15 mothers split into groups and observed by scientists as they watched video content. Not surprisingly, men are better at hiding their emotions than women. Our society encourages men to keep composure and not be overly emotional. They are hesitant to admit their true feelings while women are more upfront. Women tend to be accepting of men crying if their is good reason for it. Men and women should be more accepting and open to displays of emotion no matter what the circumstances are.
