When you want more than you have, you think you need.
I think I need to find a bigger place
Cause when you have more than you think
You need more space
I went to a yoga class last week that I really didn't want to attend at first. The hardest part is truly getting there, but I was so glad at the end when it was time for Savasana (the final dead-man's pose). A song from Eddie Vedder's Into The Wild came on, and it made everything worthwhile. The man has some wise words- particularly in his message from "Society".
This year the holiday season came and went as it always does. Sometimes there is only one thing left to do when we reflect back and remember what's important: take a seat. Sit down, unwind and breathe. The holidays are vital for re-uniting with family and friends, filling up on home cooked meals, and taking the time to reflect on ourselves. Whatever goals you have, now is the time to get started. What's most important to you right now? It could be as simple as creating more "me time", so start meditating. Trying to get fit? Start yoga. Focus on your inner needs more than the external, material items that society sometimes makes us think we need.
