1. Steal like an Artist.

• Nothing is original. Every new idea is just a mashup or a remix of previous ideas.
• An artist is a hoarder collector. Hoarders collect indiscriminately, the artist collects selectively.
• Idea incomes=You're only going to be as good as the stuff you surround yourself with.
• The best way to collect ideas is to read. Read the newspaper. Read the faces of strangers. The more you read, the more you can choose to be influenced by.
• Steal things & save them for later. Carry around a sketchpad. Write in your books. Tear things out of magazines & collage them in your scrapbook.
