Pop Decor

Warhol's Muhammad Ali (1978)
Many of you are familiar with Andy Warhol's famous Campbell's Soup painting or even Roy Lichtenstein's comic strip parodies. But Pop Art goes deeper than it may appear, combining themes from popular mass culture: music, television, advertising, comic books etc. & isolating a specific object to provoke contemplation.
David Hockney's A Bigger Splash (1967)

But aside from all that, Pop Art is really cool to look at. It's the perfect embellishment to any wall- be it in a dorm, apartment or your bedroom door. The eye-catching colors & bold images add an element of fun to any room. But if you don't have a cool $100 Mil to drop on a piece (which is how much Warhol's Eight Elvises sold for), invest in something much cheaper than buying from the original artist. A simple poster of Andy Warhol's Marilyn Monroe should do the trick. It'll brighten any space & adds a brilliant pop of color.
